Outputs

Several convenings with key stakeholders, including senior government officials, private sector, development aid, and civil society groups

Easy-to-use infographics synthesizing key messages of the Masterplan targeted at government, private sector, and development aid

Outcomes

Successfully lobbying for the government's ownership and formal adoption of the Bioethanol Masterplan through the Ministry of Energy.

Kickstarting conversations with development partners to invest resources in the growth of the bioethanol sector in Kenya.

This is a classic case of how enabling policy environments can impact lives. More than one million households in Kenya enjoy clean cooking with bioethanol because an enabling policy environment encourages affordability through tax incentives to the private sector.
